Using Twitter to track your iPhone location

Since Apple released its iPhone Gps tracking app Find My iPhone, it's not being long for other free iphone tracking softwares to be introduced on the market. However we today get the message from tuaw that they have integrated another popular tool twitter into their new tracking software findme.

This new feature will allow your iPhone to send you the nearest cell phone tower ID to your iPhone, and it can show you its exact latitude and longitude on Google maps.

You can create an iPhone specific twitter account; your iphone will update this account with its location at specified intervals. And only those who you approve can see your updates. Of course you can use a public twitter account so that everyone can see it as well.

This way you would not worry about the bulk SMSs arrive to your cell phone, nor do you have to login to any cell phone tracking companies websites. You family only have to view your twitter updates to track your current locations.
